BLAZER SEASON

I love a good blazer jacket, they're great for this time of year when you don't quite want to drag out your big furry coat, but your leather jacket won't quite cut it. This blazer was another vintage find from Beyond Retro, and right after taking it for a dry cleaning, I chopped open the shoulders to remove that 80s padding. The shoulders are still a little big on me, but I much prefer it a bit slouchy. I'm yet to sew up the shoulders again...

I wore this outfit last weekend for a trip to Oxford Street (which is not the most fun activity to do when you already go there 5 days a week for work). The turtleneck is Mango, jeans & boots are Topshop, and the bag was gifted to me by one of my favourite designers, Sabinna.

I've compiled a few of my favourite jackets/blazers on the high street right now...

If it's an overcoat/jacket you want, buy something with wool in it. It's going to be thicker and more likely to keep you warm. If you're more-so after a blazer to top off a smart look, buy a few options that match your current wardrobe. As mentioned in my previous post, much of my wardrobe is neutral, so I opt for blazers in similar colours. Alternatively, a blazer is the perfect opportunity to add a pop of colour into an otherwise simple outfit.

Either way, have fun with finding the perfect one ;)

Until next time,
