ALL THE SHADE

H&M Shirt | Vintage Trousers | Topshop Bag | Zara Earrings
Introduing my new favourite trousers. Do I say that every blog post? I think so.. haha! I instagrammed these while I was on my holiday. You know you're obessed with your trousers when you wear them in 30 degrees heat, despite their material being 100% wool. Yes, I boiled the whole. damn. day.
So I went to Florence last week for 6 days. I didn't even realise how much I needed a holiday until I was there. But it was pretty much the perfect holiday, with the perfect people, at the perfect time. I went to museums and cathedrals, went wine tasting for the first time and, msot importantly, chilled with my girls.
I'm falling in love with shirts and tailored pieces again. It's harder to wear such pieces well when you're curvier because they drape so differently than they do on models and slimmer girls. It's about finding how to style these pieces on you, so you're accentuating your features.
My favourite part of my body would probably be my waist. So when an outfit pulls together at the waist or draws attention to this area in some way, I feel the most confident and sexy. It's probably something you'd realise if you went through my outfits. I'm having fun playing with different styles of clothing, so tailored pieces, straighter peices etc. and seeing how they can fit my style and silhouette.
Belting outfits is obviously the easiest way to draw attention to the waist, although this can also be done with crops and even just tucking your top into your trousers. Half tucking a baggy top, as I've done here, gives off a more effortless and chic look, in my opinion.
I've also started playing around with showing different parts of my body, for example my shoulders, as I've done here. For me, it's a new way to wear variations of outfits I've worn for years, and adds another focal point to them.
As you can probably tell, I've been playing around with my style. Figuring out what I feel most confident and beautiful in. At the end of the day, they're just clothes, which can be taken off and thrown away if you're not happy. So why not have some fun with them ;)

Until next time,
