London Fashion Week SS16 | Day 2

Wearing: Spitalfields Market Jacket | Zara Jumpsuit | Hush Puppies Shoes | Aldo Sunglasses

LFW Day 2, and I was up early. There's something about me these days that physically can't choose outfits the night before. I think I have it planned, but I'll try it on in the morning and hate it! I can't be the only one here?

I bought this jumpsuit a few years ago for a friends birthday and it has helped me realise that I have since gained weight, LOL! I don't even care though, food is too important to care.

Let's just discuss this jacket for a second because I think I'm falling in love with it all over again. I bought it yeaaarrrss ago from a stall in Spitalfields. At the time, I was so young that I felt awkward wearing it. It was too mature for me back then, but I knew it was something special, so I had to have it. Now I think it's going to find its way into my outfits more often. It really reminds me of a Chanel jacket suit or something... what do you think?

The first show of the day was the Voujie Jin Catwalk. Oh my, this hall was beautiful! I felt like I'd stepped into another world. Everything from the ceilings, the gates, the floor and just the atmosphere created... Stunning!

The show was about movements and focusing on particular moments in time. It began with a girl lying on the floor, who then got up and proceeded to dance. The music was quite eerie, and the lights were dimmed. The choice of models was so interesting as they used the typical young model, but then mixed in older models, too.

I loved the white, feminine pieces made of lace and lighter material, mixed with harder khaki pieces. The balance was beautiful.

We then headed to the Orla Kiely presentation to view her SS16 line. The atmosphere was the complete opposite to the previous show. It goes to show how much variation there is in the industry! The presentation was about 15 minutes and we were fed little cakes on sticks, so yummy!

The 'set' the models were on was designed as a mini-golf course, topped with swans and windmills. The prints and colours used in the 60's/70's inspired collection were so pretty and it was a great show to end the day on!

Apologies for the not so great photos, we arrived a little late from the previous show, so I only managed to catch my breath and get out my camera at the end. And my little self couldn't barge past the tall professional photographers, hehe.

Seema and I, of course, had to stop for a relax & photograph session on the balcony of the Kiely presentation. It had been a long morning of running around London with (almost) broken feet and we decided to treat ourselves afterwards with some Dumplings from Ping Pong. I had actually never tried dumplings and I've been on a mission to try new things recently. I really loved them, despite accidentally eating half the paper under one of them, LOOOL! Oops, I was tired XD

Stay tuned for LFW Day 3 and surprise video ;)

Until next time,
